Movies to Watch This New Year’s Eve
Cue the confetti! It’s time to celebrate the New Year. I’ve compiled a list of some great, feel-good New Year’s Eve movies to watch. Whether you’re staying in on New Year’s Eve or recovering from a wild night out on New Year’s Day, these movies are perfect to start the New Year off right.

1. When Harry Met Sally… (1989)
One of my favorite rom-coms to watch during this season is When Harry Met Sally… A timeless love story, a New Year’s Eve party, and Meg Ryan. It’s one of the best!

2. Everything Everywhere All At Once (2022)
Get ready for a wild ride with this one. Everything Everywhere All at Once is filled with action, adventure, and multiverse insanity. It’ll catapult you into the New Year ready for infinite possibilities.

Another one of my favs is The Holiday. The cast is wonderful and it’s such a great, feel-good movie that ends with a magical New Year’s Eve party. It’s one that I can watch over and over.

4. High School Musical (2006)
This could be the start of something new! Did you sing that in your head? Go back to 2006 with High School Musical and let the nostalgia overcome you. Need I say more? lol.

5. Bridget Jones’s Diary (2001)
Start your New Year's resolutions with Bridget Jones’s Diary. This movie is hilarious and the perfect New Year’s Eve watch. It’s the modern version of Pride and Prejudice.

A little party never killed nobody… or does it? Party like it’s the Roaring Twenties and watch the Great Gatsby to find out!

7. Sleepless in Seattle (1993)
Another Meg Ryan classic is Sleepless in Seattle. It’s about a woman who falls in love with a man, played by Tom Hanks, who she hears on the radio. You’ll get a little Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and Valentine’s Day in this one!

8. Anastasia (1997)
The winter scenery and Anastasia’s iconic blue gown make this a magical movie to watch around this time. The animation in Anastasia is lovely and the music is beautiful, especially the song, “Once Upon a December”.

9. The Age of Adaline (2015)
New Year’s Eve is a major plot point in The Age of Adaline, with Adaline attending numerous New Year’s Eve parties. This movie is about a woman who has stopped aging after a near-fatal accident. You know you want to watch to find out what happens!

10. About A Boy (2002)
About A Boy is such a charming movie that definitely makes you feel good by the end. Although there are some serious moments, it’s a great movie to lift your spirits around the holidays with some Christmas and New Year’s Eve scenes.

Celebrate New Year’s Eve with Forrest Gump and Lieutenant Dan. This film is such a classic and will definitely make you go through all the emotions. Forrest Gump is a cultural icon!

Wicked isn’t New Year’s Eve related, but it’s out and ready to stream starting today, so I had to include it! Now you can sing along in the comfort of your own home.
