The Best Wedding Movies & TV Series for Brides to Be

In the midst of wedding planning? Take a break, relax, throw on a face mask and binge some of these classic wedding movies and TV shows that are perfect for the bride to be. The seating chart can wait. Everything will turn out oh so perfect. Maybe you’ll even find a little wedding inspiration along the way.

1. My Best Friend’s Wedding (1997)

Starting off with a bang! My Best Friend’s Wedding is one of the best classic wedding movies to watch. I just love Julia Roberts romcoms.

2. Bridesmaids (2011)

Bridesmaids is pretty tough to beat. The entire cast is hilarious and it’s one of the most iconic movies of the 2010s. Let’s hope your wedding dress shopping experience goes way smoother.

3. Crazy Rich Asians (2018)

Crazy Rich Asians pulls out all the stops. This movie definitely depicts an unrealistic wedding, but it’s fun to dream sometimes.

4. Mamma Mia! (2008)

Weddings just make people want to dance, sing, and be happy! Mamma Mia! is just that. It’s such a fun movie.

5. Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994)

What a hilarious, classic British wedding movie. There are an abundance of relatable moments during a hectic wedding season, like rushing to a wedding because you’re late, the officiant saying the wrong names, and awkward small talk at dinner. There’s no shortage of drama at these weddings!

6. The Sound of Music (1965)

Julie Andrews is an absolute queen. Her voice is mesmerizingly beautiful, she’s so warm and radiant, and her dress is jaw dropping in the wedding scene. The Sound of Music is one of the best musicals of all time. I love this movie so much. It just puts me in a great mood whenever I watch it.

7. Hitch (2005)

Just be yourself and you’ll find your person. Hitch doesn’t start that way, but they get there at the end.

8. The Wedding Planner (2001)

A wedding planner falls in love with her client, and drama ensues. This one is a classic with Matthew McConaughey and Jennifer Lopez.

9. Bride Wars (2009)

If you’re looking for some wedding drama, watch Bride Wars. Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson are friends turned frenemies.

10. The Wedding Singer (1998)

This is one of my favorite wedding movies. I love Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler together. I also love the music!

11. Say Yes to the Dress (2007-2025)

I loved watching this show as a kid. It’s so much fun watching a bride find her dream dress. Maybe Randy will help give you some inspiration.

27 Dresses is a reminder of how much effort, time, and energy bridesmaids but into a bride’s wedding day. Make sure to thank your girls!

Looking for some mystery to go with your wedding? Then you should watch The After Party season 2. Season 1 revolves around a high school reunion. Season 2 revolves around a wedding. You can watch each season separately without missing any key details. Both seasons have different casts filled with big names, hilarious comedians, and a murder mystery.

Julia Roberts is the ultimate wedding romcom actress. Runaway Bride is such a charming, sweet, and cozy bridal movie.

Seriously, who doesn’t love Brendan Fraser? This movie is so much fun and the ending wedding scene is adorable.

I love Betty White, especially in the scene above. The Proposal is a classic tale of two people who fall in love after learning more about each other’s true characters. They thrive after many trials and tribulations together.

I Love You, Man is a fun romcom that more centers around the groom instead of the bride. Watch Paul Rudd’s character go on some crazy adventures to find his bromance and best man for his wedding day.
